Solid and utterly silent on 15 bumpy dirt miles yesterday. Colin uses heavier gauge aluminum sheet and aluminum stays about twice the diameter of your standard Honjo stay. But the setup show weighs no more than 1.5 lb, perhaps an oz less, compared to the 1.43 of the much shorter and narrower SKS 65 mm's these replace.

Forgot to add that the arc over the section of the fenders is about 90 mm.

Thanks. Chauncey Matthews ought to have raised the seatstay bridge about 3 mm higher, but even so, he did a good job of accomodating almost 30" tall 60+ mm tires with sufficient clearance for wide fenders in a frame that allows a Q of about 157 mm (160 actual, since I very conservatively chose a 130 mm bb).
