Has anyone tried this new cushioned Newbaum's yet?

I'm looking for something to replace my cork grips: something more easily replaced/renewed and about the same diameter.

Ergon makes a variety of fine grips IMHO.

And Ergons get even better when wrapped with a nice thin cotton tape.

  Thanks, I'm looking for a padded tape to use with bar ends, so Ergons wouldn't be my first choice.

I decided to order some of the padded Newbaum's to give it a try.

Though I would like to see a pic of Newbaum's tape over Ergon grips. That sounds pretty funky. :)

I'll have to try them. I used to just run multiple newbaums, and then switched to leather. I miss the various Newbaum colors

Seems pretty similar to Velo Orange's thicker tape, which I've had in the past and found a little too absorbent of sweat to look pleasant for long.

I do well with two layers of Newbaum's, each layer coated in shellac. It's thicker, but no more absorbent.
