I call it the Choco-stache, a further iteration of the Moustache bar.

Thanks for the pick. Does the Chocos sweep back more towards the rider than the albatross? Hard to tell, I wish Riv posted backsweep angles.

thanks. this is good to see. ill second the request that,  if possible, an albastache comparison would be cool.

WOW. Huge difference that I did not anticipate. Thanks for sharing this as well.

Hi Casey...welcome to the group and thanks for posting!

May I ask what shifters and brake  levers you're using (and what bike you're running them on)? One of the shifters looks like a sun race  not sure about the other one

Thinking of the Chocos for my upcoming mixte and was thinking of the relatively inexpensive SunRace but seems like they are a bit of a PITA  with ghost shifting and stuff I'd prefer not to deal with.

Thanks!

Casey, the Albastache is 55.5cm wide, the Alba and the Choco are 55cm.  The sweep angles of the Alba and Choco are the also same .  The difference between the bars is the drop and forward extension, the Choco being less in each. It is as Riv says "the Alba with a few tweaks" .

Your third photo in your first post , with just the 2 bare bars pretty much depicts this !  Well done !

There is a flickr image of Riv bars superimposed on each other, I suspect this will be added soon.

The Bar on Bar shot is the Albastache not the Albatross. So yeah, it is totally wider.

Looks like the content is gone here. Got my chocos today. To my measurements, they are swept back about 2-3cm further than albatross bars. unmounted, they seem very long, but I guess you get a lot more useable grip area that way. I never found the curves of albatross' to be useable. The curves of these seem more comfortably positioned. As grant described, the rise/drop is negligable, though I think I'll try them in the downward position. Interested to see how the length works with bar end shifters.
