Silver 3 - 1x?

Ciao Everyone,

Anyone have experience using Silver 3 crank set as a 1x? I have a roadini set up as a 2x, with shimano xt front derailleur, and I’m wanting some more gear range for some longer mixed terrain rides. Considering doing sram ratio hack with a 9-52 cassette.

Any tips in any direction welcome and appreciated!

What tooth ring are you using, and what position of the crank is it bolted on to (outside, middle, or inside)? New to this specific area of bike maintenance so please pardon my awkward use of terminology.

I bought the Ratio ring in 36 and 34, and I'm running it in the "middle" position, or the inner of the two 110mm BCD positions.
