This guy's calm voice has walked me through hours of bike maintenance and repair. I imagine I'm not alone. At least they are all on the internet and will continued to be visited frequently.

Between his videos and the Sheldon Brown website...

Wow was literally watching his video on pressing threadless headsets and my wife commented “he makes it seem very simple”.

I've been turning to Calvin's Park Tool videos (tutorials, really) for several years now. To my mind, he is THE master bike wrench; knowledgeable, experienced, happy to share tips and understated. Congratulations on your retirement Mr. Jones!!!

I saw him being interviewed when he said “I want to help people enjoy working on their bikes so much that they won’t even need to ride them”. A great guy in the bike industry.

Glad to hear his retirement plans include contributing to Park Tool videos. I watch at least one of his videos every time I put together a bike and how it easy it after learning from him is what makes it so enjoyable.

I think we can all rest assured that any new technology that he hasn't covered will be of little concern to most of us anyway!  I take great comfort in that, because his contributions have been invaluable.

At first I thought Calvin Jones was a Rivendell model I never heard of being discontinued.

Calvin Jones would be a fantastic Rivendell model name

Agreed. Was thinking the same. It would be a frame optimized for moustache bars.

The headbdge would depict him with a cowboy hat riding off into the sunset.

Or maybe wearing his shop apron and holding a Park torque wrench. (But it might be in poor taste to memorialize in such a way someone who is still living)
