As the title says. Anyone holding? Message me or post a reply. I’ve been looking for ages and nowhere I’ve seen has any in stock. Thanks!

Alex's Cycles in Japan has 110 mm Faceplater's in stock, if that last 10 mm is negotiable. Been warned though, I did get a tariff bill from FedEx when I ordered a stem from Alex's Cycles about a month ago.

Thanks but I actually have a 110mm currently, which I previously swapped from a 135mm, so I’m fairly certain 120mm is my Goldilocks- at least certain enough to want to try one. Have I thought about a quill adapter and 120mm threadless stem? Yes. But not worth it for me and I think they’re absolutely hideous.

Thanks again!

Steve, does your current 110mm have any rise to it, or is it one of Riv's 90-190s?

Steven,

I hear ya about the quill adapter!

Merry Sales/Soma has a 120 mm version of a Faceplater. It has a 25.5 option. It's not Nitto, but likely still very nice. I'm actually having trouble finding a 120 mm Nitto version in existence. Seems like they went from 110 to 135.

Fair question. My current one does have a slight rise. It’s the BlueLug FW30 “power stem.” I don’t think the 90-190’s come in 120 unfortunately. But my 135 was a 90-190, and I definitely preferred the aesthetic of that 90deg angle.

That just gave me the idea to geek out with the online stem comparison tool at http://yojimg.net/bike/web_tools/stem.php for a minute, though, thanks lol.

Unfortunately Blue Lug doesn’t publish the angles for their power stems, but I’m guesstimating +15deg for the FW30 and -15deg for the FW33. I guess I could measure on my current FW30 w a protractor, but I don’t have one.

I still would definitely prefer a 90-190 to either, but since it’s not made in 120 (unless they changed that with the new batch due to arrive at Riv any day now, but something tells me they didn’t) I think my hopes are stuck on a FW30 or FW33. Might even prefer the classic “7” shape of the 33 to to 30 at this point, but only slightly. I think I emailed Blue Lug a month or two ago to ask for a restock ETA, but I never got a response.

And before you suggest a vintage single bolt stem, not only have I also been looking, but I really don’t want to unwrap my bars at this point in the game.

Cheers!

Yeah, I think Riv used to call that the Jim stem. That 20deg rise is definitely too much for my tastes, but I’ve considered it.

The FW30 looks to have a 10deg rise. That stem calculator shows only a 1mm reach difference between a 110mm x 0degs vs a 120mm x 10degs, so a 110mm 90-190 could be an option (but they're out of stock).

If you can live with a shim, there's a 120mm x 10degs w/ a 31.8 clamp at Alex's Cycles https://alexscycle.com/products/nitto-mcr22-quill-stem

I think I’d rather just stick with my current 110 than use a shim, but thanks Danny!
