New Rivendell Goat Gloves - Trade XL for L

Hi Folks-

I got a pair of the new Rivendell GOAT winter gloves in XL.

In retrospect, I wish I’d gotten them in size L as these are just a tad too big.

Does anyone have a pair of Larges that they want to swap for my XLs? Never worn, I just tried them on to check sizing.

Is it possible for you to exchange your pair for a a Large size from Rivendell Bicycle Works ? 

....or did you purchase them elsewhere ?

Thanks for your response!

I actually got them from SOMA.  I randomly saw them on SOMA’s site and impulse bought them a few days before they were officially announced in the Rivendell newsletter.

Exchanging is an option, but I figure I’d ask here first as they’re a new product and Rivendell can be, shall we say, “ambiguous” with their sizing. I thought there may be someone in a similar boat who’d want to swap sizes rather than going through the rigamarole of officially exchanging with the vendor.

(No solid takers so far, btw, so the offer still stands!)

I thank you for your story behind your winter goat gloves. Good choice in starting herein for a possible trade for a smaller size. Perhaps waiting a bit longer would reveal someone who would be able to exchange sizes with you.

When I first saw these winter goat gloves posted herein, they were all sold out through RBW website. Then, a member saw them on the SOMA website. I was very tempted to buy a pair. Then again, it would not be very practical then, because the weather here in western Washington state had grown a lot warmer at the time I saw them. However, the weather has gotten a lot colder of late with an extremely amount of rain. At any rate, I am holding off until at a later time.

The large came in and fit just fine, maybe a tad small in one or two fingers but the wool is stretchier than full leather. It came in a paper bag with this chart.
