No relationship to seller, no interest in buying,
just interested in what the group might say 'bout this red hot deal!

They're not built anywhere NEAR as well as a comparable Atlantis or Hunqapillar. I'd love to have one, but 1800 is bonkers. If you're walking around with that kind of bike money, a production Riv in need of a few of the parts you have laying around is a much better choice.

There was one on Craigstlist recently. Same size and in very nice shape for $1200.

I would have picked this one up, but it didn't have the original bar
tape so I gave it a pass.

And to think I paid only $1,500 for my Herse. As a former XO-1 owner,
I agree with Joe: buy a Riv.

yea... and those shimaNo derailleurs... the nerve of that guy to deface a bike like that.  Of course if it was 55cm I just might of grabbed it... life is too short ya know.

and I'm not sure I could ever go back to 559 wheels ever again.

It's sold for the BIN price so someone thought it was worth it. I've
seen them go for more, FWIW--over $2k. I figure by the time I'm ready
to retire mine will be worth enough to make up for my poor savings
habit...
