Nice! Yes, I'm interested! Please elaborate on how you made it work. Did you simply cut a section of a hose clamp and enlarge two of the slots to fit the nut plate in the shifter? Did you have to do anything else to make it fit?

You're looking for something like this. I used some heavy duty scissors and a drill. Snip the top sides by the hole for fit in the cap slot and file as needed. Bend the tips to mimic the Suntour band. Infinite sizing opportunities.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing this, i can definitely see myself doing something like this some day. Have you tried it out near the brake levers like one of those command/wing shifters?
