Hi all! I’m finally selling my 63cm Chocolate Brown MUSA Hilsen (for real this time!). It’s a great bike, but has always been a hair too big for me. I mostly just ride around the city these days and my slightly smaller SimpleOne is a better fit. Here’s the rundown…

Frame:

63cm Rivendell A. Homer Hilsen; unusual dark chocolate brown color; no dents, just a few paint chips here and there (see photos)

Geometry for this model can be found here: http://www.cyclofiend.com/Images/rbw/ahh_geom.jpg

FYI, my PBH is 90cm, which fits fine for standover, but the top tube is just a bit too long for my (apparently) T-Rex-ish arms. My 62cm SimpleOne and Ram are a better fit on the top tube length.

Build:

Wheelset: 32H SON Archetype rims to standard Shimano hubs (I forget the models, but I think Deore rear and Tiagra front?); double-butted spokes; 38mm Compass Steilacoom tires still with plenty of life left

Drivetrain: Really nice new MicroShift 8sp thumbies matched to Shimano 600 front and XT rear derailleur; new SRAM 8sp cassette; Sugino XD 170mm crank; 40/26 with Riv guard; Crank Bros. Stomp pedals

Brakes: Paul levers matched to the standard Hilsen Tektro R559s

Cockpit: VO 90mm Removable Faceplate quill stem; Rivendell Wavie bar w/ clamp-on grips (I have a new set of black Oury v2 grips I can also include); standard Kalloy seatpost; saddle not included

Extras: Nitto Mark’s rack w/ extra struts; Wald medium basket

Asking $2000 for the complete build as shown in the linked photo(s). The only things not included are the saddle, bell, bottle cages, and coffee valve caps. While it’s pictured here with cheapo Clem pedals, it will come with fancier tan Crank Bros. Stomp 2s that match the paint. If you want to remove some personal-preference parts (that you might have) like tires, stem, handlebar, or pedals for a discount, I’m open to haggling. Photos here:

I would prefer to sell as a complete build. And while I know this will limit potential buyers, for now I’d like to keep to a local sale (Philadelphia). I just don’t have the space at the moment to properly box the bike for shipping. If I don’t get any initial bites, I can open to a buyer paying for boxing and shipping from a local shop.
