About the company

Benetton India has been one of the most loved and revered brands not only among its consumers but also among those who look at Benetton India as a prospective organization to make their career. Within the ambit of shaping careers, R.A.C.E.to Lead is a program that acts as a catalyst to fast-track careers for MBA grads looking forward to building careers in retail. The program is conceived with an objective of identifying, selecting and nurturing young MBAs from reputed B-Schools for developing future Store Managers through a structured & predefined career path over a time frame of 36 months.  

The program shall not only offer an understanding of Store Business Operations & Customer Buying Behavior but will also provide an opportunity to young MBA students to learn On-the-Job & Deliver as high flying Store Managers. This initiative will provide an accelerated growth in line with a predefined career path basis consistency of performance & deliverables.

This program has been conceived & designed in three phases wherein students emerge as potential retail champions by successfully delivering in the following:

• LEVEL I  -  Live Projects during EOSS
  
• LEVEL II -  Summer Internship for two months in EBOs (Exclusive Business Outlet) OR LFS (Large Format Stores)
  
• LEVEL III -  Pre Placement Offer

Students who prove their mettle in Level I & Level II, are offered Retail Business Trainee roles, who through a structured process of learning & subsequent Assessments for the next two years to graduate to the level of the Store Manager, to lead the Store Operations & team. During this thirty-six months program, structured and relevant learning inputs would be bunged into interventions would be injected in the process for these HIpo Store Managers so that they come out in flying colors post the robust two year period. We are glad to welcome your students to the first level of this program.

LEVEL I- EOSS LIVE PROJECT :

The Live project usually runs for 3-4 weekends. The key responsibility for the live project is to drive sales at Benetton stores & handle customers. If they are able to do this successfully, they will gain experience in the following -

• Understanding Benetton as a Fashion Brand and its categories.
  
• Experience WOW customer interaction and customer delight.
  
• Understanding and experiencing the concepts of Upselling and cross-selling leading to Sales Enhancement.
  
• Understanding of Visual Merchandising concepts.
  
• Understanding of Retail Key Performance Indicators like Average Bill Value, Average Basket size, Footfalls/Conversion, Sell Through, Like to Like growth etc.
  
• As a recognition of their effort, we will give them stipend worth INR 400/- per day and a letter of appreciation for successful completion of the project.  
  

More importantly, the students who successfully complete the live project & are recommended by their mentors for achieving the desired project objectives, automatically get a chance to be evaluated for a summer internship (LEVEL II of the R.A.C.E. to LEAD program). On successful completion of two months of summer internships (during May/June), outstanding performers get a Pre Placement Offer opportunity with Benetton India.
