It's the second straight come-from-behind win for Riverside, who trailed by 15 points early in the 4th quarter, but that crazy Strat momentum thing is in our favor for this one. The first half was about the worst offensive performance that has happened in a while. Kohler led it 44-43 at the half as Riverside could not stop fouling and could not make a bucket. Then despite only scoring 44 points in the 1st half, Strat mo is handed to Kohler in the 3rd, and we cannot stop them ever. They score 44 points in the quarter, equaling their first half output, and it's 88-76 Kohler going to the final period.

You'd think after scoring 44 points in the 3rd, Kohler is going to be dangerous to the finish. Er, no. Strat mo flips to Riverside, and Kohler scores all of 12 points in the final period. Riverside gets the lead with 30 seconds to play, and despite missing six late free throws, holds on to win. Seen this stupid momentum pattern play out dozens of times now with this year's version. Just stupid is all I can say.

Oh, and this is kind of important. Shaquille O'Neal fouled out of the game, but he only managed 15 minutes of play, and had 7 points and 4 rebounds. And yet, even with that, we couldn't win this game until the final minute.

Alonzo Mourning (13-23 FG) had 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 blocked shots. Gary Payton (9-14 FG) had 21 points and 7 assists. Derrick Coleman had 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. The rest of the team was pretty bad. David Wesley had 21 points to lead Kohler, and Shareef-Abdur Rahim had 17. Kohler remarkably had 22 offensive rebounds, and according to the stat sheet, 19 second chance points. But that does not count free throws made, and Kohler had at least 6 offensive rebounds that resulted in an X(2). I'm sure they had close to 30 second chance points. Riverside has good rebounders. I really don't understand how that happens. Kohler had a total rebound advantage of 59-39, which is really strange since they shot only 39% from the field.
