Staff Selection Commission popularly known as SSC is an Indian organization to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Govt. of India and in Subordinate Offices.

Age:
(a) 18 to 25 years for general category.
(b) 18 to 28 years for OBC category (the candidates whose OBC caste listed in Centre list as well as UT list are considered eligible for the said post)
(c ) 18 to 30 years for SC categories.
(d) Candidates already in government service/semi government service/Corporation/Boards shall apply through proper channel and the relaxation in age for candidates already in government service shall be decided as per latest instructions of the Chandigarh Administration.

Examination Fee: - The aforesaid expenediture shall be incurred from the application fee of the candidates (non refundable) which is proposed as Rs.500/- for general/OBC candidates and
Rs.250/- for SC candidates.
Selection procedure :
1. After the conduct of written test answer key will be uploaded on website as per schedule for submission of objections by the candidates.
2. Marks obtained by the candidates in written test will be uploaded on the website.
3. Merit list prepared on the basis of marks in written test will be uploaded on the website and on the basis of said merit; candidates will be called for documents verification.
4. List of selected candidates will be released after checking of eligibility conditions;
5. The joining of the candidates will be issued to the candidates after proper police verification and submission of medical fitness certificate on first entry into government service.
