One of the most popular uses for clean is portraiture because it allows you to easily create smoother, cleaner and clearer skin. Topaz Clean can improve skin appearance, while preserving major facial features and tiny but important skin detail.

Click Select > All layers (just layers, hold shift to deselect effects), and click convert to timeline animation in the right bottom corner (x); click Filter > Convert for Smart Filters. Then click here for topaz (x) - remember, you can click there only if you have installed it first! And, at the end, go Filter > Sharpen > Smart Sharpen (my settings).

This photo of IU that we are using is of a pretty high quality. Sharpening with only using "smart sharpen" would be good enough, but to make an even smoother/crisper touch, using de-noise or clean, can make your edit come out quite nicer than a simple sharpen.

Before we dive into creating cartoon creations with Topaz Clean, let's first understand its workflow and the effects it offers. Clean is a post-processing tool that comes at the end of your image editing process. It is designed to enhance the edges and textures in your images and can be used for a variety of effects, including subtle detail extraction, skin cleaning, and stylization. For the purpose of this article, we will focus on Clean's ability to quickly turn your images into cartoon-like creations.

In the second example, we have an image of a cityscape with muted colors. Here, we aim to create a vectorized cartoon effect with clean lines and a flattened appearance. By increasing the strength and adjusting the threshold, radius, and sharpness sliders, we can achieve a stylized image with clean, flat areas and well-defined shapes.

I want an opinion regarding topaz training. Can we choose particles from the clean homo/hetero refine jobs from the sets of micrographs for the training purpose ? I have a decent reconstruction and these particles have already gone through extensive 2D cleaning previously.

In the tutorials I have seen people mostly selecting particles from the clean 2D class averages from different orientation. I just thought why not pick particles from the 3D job for the training if I already have a decent reconstruction.

It is fine to use particles from a 3D refinement for Topaz training. However, I would recommend still manually checking the particles you want to use using Manual Picker. Even in a nominally clean set of particles, there can be some remaining junk, and Topaz will pick what you train it to pick!

Keep an eye on your gemstone jewelry to make sure that your settings are secure and that the prongs holding your stones stay intact and in good shape. This will ensure that you don't accidentally lose a stone. On pieces with larger gems, it may be obvious when there's a problem, but for anything with smaller settings like pave, it's a good idea to get your jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected (free at your local Ben Bridge store), where a jeweler can look at all settings under magnification.

You can also keep your diamond and gemstone jewelry clean and sparkly at home. After wearing, wipe your jewelry with a clean, soft, slightly damp cloth. This will remove any oils or smudges and ensure your jewelry is clean before putting it away. You can also clean most diamond and gemstone pieces by putting them in jewelry cleaner or in an ultrasonic machine for a few minutes. You can pick up jewelry cleaner for free from your local Ben Bridge store or order an inexpensive home ultrasonic machine. Some gemstones such as emeralds, lapis lazuli, opals, pearls, tanzanite and turquoise should not be submerged in jewelry cleaner or in an ultrasonic machine.

It is always advisable to take good care of your accessories to keep them looking their best. Bracelets made of precious metals and gemstones like gold, silver, platinum and diamonds should be cleaned with a soft cloth and gentle soap. Store them in jewelry boxes to avoid scratches on them. For the leather bracelets, you can clean them with a leather conditioner and avoid getting them in touch with water. while leather bracelets should be kept away from water and cleaned with a leather conditioner. Beaded bracelets can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
