Dear People,
As of late yesterday afternoon, the Codornices outfield was fine and there’s been little rain since then, so I’m going to be lazy, assume we’re good to go and crawl back into bed.
However, the infield around home plate and the pitching mound need some serious hydraulic engineering, and thus Jim and Steve have agreed to get there by 10:30ish with shovels, buckets, rakes, and hoes (that’s right, rakes). They, of course, are national heroes, but you can be as well since they could really use another person or two with the appropriate tools in this greatest of pre-batting-practice undertakings. So yeah, don’t be timorous or aloof––join them!
See ya at 11, contemplative and rested . . . Raymond
