Dear People,
As of this pecking, it looks like the threat from that projected atmospheric durian-nectarine river has been dramatically scaled back, with all major weather sites now forecasting only some nighttime showers as we peacefully snooze. SO, given Codornices’ magnificent drainage, you can assume we’re good to go unless you see an email update before 10AM (In fairness, how many times have I written “Nature is goodly at its essence and will always do what’s best for people,” so yeah, no one should be that surprised by any of this).
However: Be aware that there are a series of races taking place on the streets of Berkeley throughout the morning, so you should check out the map in the link below to see what streets are closed off before heading for the field. Frankly, the map itself seems about intuitive as your basic course in quantum mechanics, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out . . .
