Dear People,
There will likely be a game at enticing Bushrod Park this Sunday at 11, and as of now, there are, shamefully, six slots left. This means that you are welcome to commit the ceaselessly enigmatic non-community people in your lives, from your parole officers to your embittered ex-lovers, so long as they are friendly, have basic familiarity with the game, and have at least a modicum of athletic Je-ne-sais-quoi.
Finally, and because we all know it’s not easy being who we are: You will need to check email late Saturday since I’m going to have to verify that the field is playable given the softball-hostile rains that have pummeled us over these last few days. Still, I’m optimistic because there are rumors swirling that I’m quite happy to lower the standards for ‘playable’ by considerably more than a smidge if it’s going to be dry and mostly sunny all weekend long, and that indeed is what it will probably be.
Happy/Merry again, and stay tuned . . . Raymond 510-845-7552 / cell 510-677-8860
