Softball: Weather, Schmeather

Dear People,

 

There will hopefully be a game at Bushrod Park this Sunday at 11, and as of now, there are two slots left. Two!

 

Now look, I know what you’re thinking; You’re thinking, “But Ray, there are vicious rumors of weekend drizzle, rain, and even atmospheric papaya river expresses, and that makes me tremulous!” Well, the bottom line is all of that may or may not happen, but the various commie weather services you rely on have had a dubious track record over the years, and my sources at the climate desk at the Liberian Consulate in Fairfield are saying some upcoming modest precipitation followed by a semi-sunny break in the wettitude come Sunday morn’.

 

The upshot is that, as you know, we’re a stout and hydrophilic folk by both birth and temperament and Bushrod #1 has semi-decent drainage, but of course your safety is my top priority and I will never subject you to an unreasonably heightened risk of severe flu, feral sturgeon ambush, or non-gonococcal urethritis. SO, you will need to check in for an email update late Saturday afternoon and possibly Sunday morning as well.  Yeah, it’s wicked hard being us, but it’s too late to turn back now.
