I now get exclamation points instead of the o for open.
It is a v1.4u and was working for better half of the year.
Does it indicate any specific problem or area to check?
Thanks!

Is it the single exclamation mark at the end of the second line, or are there multiple exclamation marks? Could you attached a picture or send it to me?

There's an exclamation point instead of the o. I open two sprinklers 1 & 2, and # 8 for the well pump.
Like so:
!!-----!

Are you sure it's running firmware 1.8 or above? These exclamation marks only existed in firmware 1.5 and earlier. Did you by any chance re-flash the firmware accidentally?

Hehe, no re-flash chance. Actually I see now that it is V1.5. I was looking at the pics you have to identify which hardware it is.

I bought it about a year or so ago and built and installed it. Since then it's been "on-duty" in the garage.

What does the ! stand for, is it an internal or external issue to it?

Steve, note that firmware version and hardware version are two different things. Hardware version is the number printed on the circuit board. You cannot upgrade it unless if you buy a new one. Firmware refers to the software, which you can upgrade to the latest version no matter which hardware version you are running. Firmware version is listed on the homepage. The latest hardware is v1.4u, and the latest firmware is 1.8.2.

! means you have more than two stations scheduled to open at the same time. This is a features in firmware 1.5 and earlier. It's designed to prevent accidentally opening many stations simultaneously which will draw too much current. What you should do is to check your schedule and see if you have three or  more stations scheduled in the same time slot. Alternatively, if you intend to open that many stations at the same time, you can change the Multi-Valve Check option in options: just increase that number to 3 or more.

Ah, yes. I had set it to allow three but forgot that when I lost the password and reset it, that setting was reset as well.
Thanks again for a great product!

And yes, I'm quite aware of the differences. :)
