Hi Ray,

I’m using HW=1.1 and FW=1.4 , I’m trying to install the new firmware version 1.8.3 with FTDI basic adapter(Chip FT232RL) provided for you at the moment of my purchase in order to reprogram the unit. According to the instructions I need to use this command in order to reprogram the fuse bits:

avrdude -c usbtiny -p m328p -B 250 -F -U lfuse:w:0xff:m -U hfuse:w:0xd1:m -U efuse:w:0x06:m

and

avrdude -c usbtiny -p m328p -F -U flash:w:firmware1.8.3.hex

I’m getting this message: “ Could not find USBtiny device <0x1781/0xc9f> “   I believe because I’m not using an USBtiny adapter.

I’m using WinAVR  version 20100110 (Port 3 – configured AVRdude.conf)  and I installed the drivers for FTDI unit= 2.08.28  and the serial USB port is working ok.

OS= WinXP Pro SP3

Thanks in advance for all your help,

Nelson
