TheiLX-F511 works with Apple CarPlay and let's iPhone users make and receive calls, access text messages, play music, and get directions in a way that allows them to stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay is accessed through the capacitive touchscreen or the mic button to activate Siri voice control and is compatible with iPhone 5 and later.
The iLX-F511 includes Android Auto and works with the Google Assistant (requires both a USB cable and Bluetooth connection; requires an Android phone running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher and the Android Auto app). To access the Google Assistant on Android Auto, say "OK Google" or select the mic button. Google Assistant in Android Auto allows users to play their favorite music, get driving directions to their destination, interact with smart home devices, and reply to text messages - hands-free.
Experience incredible music detail with Hi-Res Audio Playback. High-precision music reproduction brings out the full potential of every song and makes every drive feel like an intimate recording studio session with your favorite artist. Access your favorite songs on popular Hi-Res streaming services like Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music HD, and more. The Alpine Halo11 plays Hi-Res music at it's intended spec of 96kHz/24Bit via a wired USB connection to a smartphone or wirelessly through Bluetooth connection. You can also purchase and download Hi-Res music files onto a USB drive from platforms like HDtracks and plug directly into the Alpine Halo9 for Hi-Res playback.
The Alpine Halo11 has on-board tuning features including a 13-band parametric EQ per channel, for continuous frequency control. If more power is needed, additional amplifiers can be added using three sets of true 4V preamp outputs with front, rear, and subwoofer control.
Experience music as the artist originally intended with the industry's first first Tidal integration. A TIDAL subscription is required and sold separately. To access TIDAL on the Alpine Head Unit, the head unit must be tethered to a mobile or smartphone hotspot. Data rates may apply.
The screen is attached to an adjustable mount on a single-DIN chassis that's designed to fit in your Tundra. Once the unit is installed, the screen can be easily adjusted simply by tilting the screen with your hands.

Alpine has teamed with Chamberlain Group, maker of Chamberlain and LiftMaster garage door opener brands. Their garage door openers work with a MyQ app on a smartphone. The app can also turn on/off lights and control Nest thermostats. An Alpine Connect app will work with the MyQ app and link to an Alpine radio via Bluetooth so the content from the app is fed through the Alpine radio and controlled by the radio touch screen.
This fits great in the default slot. We don't need navigation in the head-unit and I wanted a simple interface with push buttons instead of touch screens. I can't stand the delay in touch screen models.
I am happy to hear the steering wheel controls work. For a long time nobody could figure them out and the big aftermarket companies did not have support for our van yet. I know on a lot of make and models it can depend on the head unit and your vehicle on what will or will not work. On my Tundra I could not use all the functions of a Kenwood unit as an example but a Pioneer was fully functional using the steering wheel controls.
Do you have any kind of link to the steering wheel control adapter? I also have a 2013 with Tech Pkg and Crutchfield told me that it doesn't exist. If it is the same one as a 2013 Nissan Juke, that's awesome - they probably just don't know it. I'm hoping to put in a CarPlay unit that can handle the input from a rear-view camera.
For the rear-view camera, I'd like to upgrade to a better one than factory (anyone know of one?) but I'm especially curious here about how you were able to use the same spot as the existing one. Did you have to use new wiring?
Did you cut out any plastic where the rear speakers are? We're a huge music family, and I plan on doing the same in the future. I just noticed that there is a lot of plastic in front of the rears, which would muffle the sound.
Hey Jimgoings, can I ask what you did with the factory head unit? If you still have it an it has navigation then I'd like to buy it from you. Or you could be an awesome NV owner and donate it to another NV owner :)
Your Jeep is designed for off-road use, and so is this receiver. The bezel and touchscreen are splash-proof and dust-proof, so you can drop the top and head into the wilderness without worrying about your receiver succumbing to the elements.
There are four pre-set angle points (45, 20, 0, -20) to allow for better viewing of the screen. The screen can also be positioned 20mm deep from the default position to be closer to the dash, and higher or lower up to 30mm from the default position to adjust for height in the dash. Once the desired screen position is determined, the screen and mount get fixed to the chassis for a sturdy fit and finish.
Make blind spots a distant memory. The iLX-F309 has a rear camera input and overlays guidelines onto the camera image on the 9-inch screen to aid with distance judging (camera sold separately). Multiple cameras (for the rear and side) can be added when used through the KCX-C2600B Multi-Camera Selector (cameras and switcher sold separately).
The iLX-F309 is compatible with the iDatalink Maestro Module (sold separately) to retain and display vehicle information on the 9-inch screen. Information such as steering wheel controls, tire pressure, engine codes and HVAC control may be accessible from the iLX-F309 (information will vary by vehicle).
A shortcut soft key on the touch screen within all audio and phone sources makes it even easier to add sources than before. Easily add, delete, and re-arrange your shortcut icons by dragging the icon(s) to a new location on the screen. Your settings are kept as a personal profile linked to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
Be smart when using your phone on the road. The built-in Bluetooth wireless technology allows for hands-free calling, secure simple pairing (SSP) and call waiting. Icons depicting phone battery level and cellular signal level are shown on the 9-inch screen. Expand your entertainment options with audio streaming from your smartphone.
Pandora Update: 10/6/22
I'd like to again thank everyone for posting their trouble with connecting Android devices to Pandora in the car. We understand how frustrating this experience can be and wanted you to know that we're working hard to resolve this issue.
If you're new to this thread and experience an issue connecting to Pandora with your Android, feel free to post. Your information will be passed along to our engineering ticket.
Updates will continue to be posted in this thread as they are given to the Community Team.
In the meantime, these steps may help to connect to your vehicle:
Since many of you are having trouble on various Android phones and in different vehicles I've gone ahead and merged all related posts into one thread to help stay organized with updates and information.
Took my 2018 Mazda 6 to the dealer to see if they could fix this issue thinking maybe I needed an update to my Mazda Connect system. Turns out I already have the latest update of Mazda Connect. I showed a technician the issue I was having and he couldn't figure out the issue. He paired his iPhone with my car and Pandora worked fine there, but it didn't work when he switched the Bluetooth connection to my Samsung S9 phone. Pandora can play over Bluetooth, but it can't be launched from the Pandora selection on the audio input selection page. This problem has been going on for months! When is pandora going to fix it!
