We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong experience in ETL development, Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), and Snowflake. The ideal candidate will design, build, optimize, and support scalable data integration pipelines and cloud-based data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and business operations. This role requires strong technical expertise in SQL, data transformation, performance tuning, and end-to-end data engineering delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica IDMC to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple source systems into Snowflake.
- Build scalable and efficient data integration workflows, mappings, taskflows, and reusable components for enterprise data solutions.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake-based data models, tables, views, and transformation logic to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Write and tune complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance improvement.
- Perform data analysis, data profiling, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure high data quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, application teams, and downstream consumers to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Monitor data pipelines, resolve production issues, and implement logging, error handling, and performance optimization best practices.
- Support data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives involving legacy ETL platforms and Snowflake.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment artifacts, and support handover materials for production readiness.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC / IICS, including mappings, taskflows, and cloud data integration.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, performance tuning, and cloud data warehousing concepts.
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries, procedures, and data validation logic.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT design, data integration patterns, and data engineering best practices.
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data from multiple source systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data and performance issues across pipelines.
- Experience with unit testing, data reconciliation, deployment support, and production issue resolution.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile or fast-paced delivery environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Exposure to Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC migration projects.
- Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or automation for data engineering processes.
- Understanding of data quality, data governance, and metadata management concepts.
- Snowflake and/or Informatica certifications are a plus.
- Healthcare domain experience is good to have
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Typically requires 10+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or cloud data integration, with strong hands-on expertise in Informatica IDMC and Snowflake.
