Dear All,

I have some issues re-running RAxML-NG using checkpointed/incomplete runs and I get the following error:

raxml-ng/src/main.cpp:1278: void load_start_trees(RaxmlInstance&): Assertion `i == instance.opts.num_searches'

Is the ckp file is corrupt?

Best,
Kenta

Dear Kenta,

most probably yes, have you tried to rerun with --redo?

Best,
Oleksiy

Dear Oleksiy,

Yes. With the --redo flag the .mlTrees.TMP file is overwritten and any inferred trees are gone. I have also had this error happen when I prematurely end a job and try to re-run but with a different number of trees to infer (instead of the checkpoint file being corrupted).

Best,
Kenta
