GSOC "Geolocation and Mapping Tools" project.

hi all, 

I am Janani Nayanathara, 4th year undergraduate of Uva Wellassa University, 
Sri Lanka. I am interested in applying for GSOC 2012 with "Geolocation and 
Mapping Tools" project. 

I have 3 years experience in java developing and i am familiar with 
OpenStreetMap. I think this task of the project can be achieved by a mobile 
map editor which can be worked with offline also. (" accessible and 
editable while offline" will be enabled.). The health workers will be able 
to update the database using this application. 

will not this project be more useful as a mobile web application rather 
than a standard web application? 

please respond this mail ASAP because the proposal submitting period has 
begun...
