Android App to Connect With Health Devices

Hello 

I am Chirag Nagpal, currently in the third year of computer Engineering at Army Institute of Technology, Pune, India.

I saw the GSoC-14 project listing of the Health Device Communication project on the Ideas page.

I have extensive experience of Hardware and Android App Development.

I have previously developed a data logging android app, that receives data from an MSP430 (or Arduino board) connected to the HC-05 Bluetooth Serial Module, and Graphs it using the android-plot library. Check the screen shot below. I would like to know, if this project is still open, I can leverage my existing knowledge base to integrate COTS medical devices to the app, and possibly continue this as a GSoC '15 project.
