Ground ivy is now (mid-June) growing abundantly where I live. This
plant was used to brew beer and as a cure-all. It's good for whatever
ails you and it adds a slight aromatic, balsamic taste to the brew, so
now is a good time to keep your eyes on the ground and bring home a
handful of ground ivy for your beer or teapot whenever you go out for
a walk.
To brew, put it in the teapot and add hot water to it. When the water
has cooled down to lukewarm you can add the yeast starter to brew
your live ale.
