Hi!

I would love to use this software instead of dcraw if it was usable from the command line (for automation purpose). Are there any CLI builds?

Best regards,
Arthur

I don’t see a option in the manual for a CLI but you may still be able automate. There is a Batch option which will run the settings on all raw files on a folder. Batch Processing may be one of the premium features. Also you can open RPP from the command line and pass a folder to be batch processed, but there is a prompt that appears where you would have to click continue. You may be able to automate using AppleScript or Automator to some extent. To open a folder from the command line run:

open -a "Raw Photo Processor 64.app” /path/to/raw/files/

Should work.
If you call it like this from a script
"/Applications/Raw Photo Processor 64.app/Contents/MacOS/Raw Photo Processor 64" path1 path2 …
with list of files and/or folders it will be processed as a batch.
As it have turned out there is a bug in macOS for this way of passing files, fixed in this version:

Ok, thanks for the info!

Is it possible to batch process using different presets (settings) for each individual folder?
Also, is it something you're planning to introduce, a CLI app? I would gladly pay for such tool.

With best regards,
Arthur

You can open one of the images in a folder, apply the settings you want to that image in the standard RPP interface, and then apply those settings automatically as the default settings for the folder using CMD-D (or clicking on the “D” button in the upper right cluster of buttons).  If you CTRL-Click on the “D” button you will specify a fixed WB (versus AUTO).

You can also use the history panel to specify the particular settings for that directory.

Once the settings for the directory are specified, all images in that folder will be processed with those settings.
