I am not really sure if its my fault, but all raw files from my Alpha
700 I open in RPP always look far too dark, they have a kind of dark
grey vail over it. When I open them in Adobe Camera Raw they look
fine, even with now changes applied and they are well exposed. The
same happens, either when I open original ARW raw files or my
converted DNG file.
On the other hand, files from my old Maxxum 7D are looking good in RPP
without dark grey vail.
I would be great it some of the other Alpha 700 users can help me what
I am doing wrong.
I really like to test RPP it earns positive comments at a lot of
places.

Matthias
This is not your fault, but shots are indeed underexposed because
light meter in A700 is calibrated to different middle gray value from
Maxxum 7D.
Pretty much all modern cameras do this to preserve more highlights and
they require additional exposure correction to compensate that shift.
Other converters do this quietly, RPP doesn't.
To correct this underexposure you need to use something about 0.7 in
Compressed Exposure field. You may adjust it of course depending on
your shooting style. I'd recommend to set it as your camera default so
you don't have to manually modify it all the time.
Hope this helps.
