Also like many other bits of software we tend to air on the side of safety, so speeds, feeds, stepovers and step downs are cautious. We always recommend taking things slow until you get use to tools, material and the machine.
my last crash was today, but the artcam mini dump folder shows last date on 10.04.2017, two days ago and this dmp file shows 0 kb, and all the others below worked properly. i can send you this one from 10th 04.
Depth of cut is important, add bit dim A plus 3/16 to get total depth of cut, making sure the total depth is cut in one pass. The bit you're using looks like most keyhole bits. That said my total depth of cut is 3/8".
Having fairly recently started using Artcam Express 2015 64 bit build 339, I am occasionally getting an error message "artcam is not responding", followed by "artcam has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. Any unsaved changes have been lost".
I have artcam pro 2018 on my windows 10 computer. I have windows vista ultimate on my 32 bit system in my garage running a cnc router using Mach 3 which is 32 bit based. My question is if I try to transfer a program used in windows 10, will I be able to transfer that file to my mach 3 which is a 32 bit system and run it on that machine which is going to be in G code for the cnc to understand and run?
Thanks for the reply. Do you know how you choose where is slows down? Does artcam premium 2017 auto detect the problem areas and automatically slow down the speed or do i have to manually slow it down?
You aren't working in the latest build of ArtCAM Express 2013, which is ArtCAM Express 2013.SP3 (64-bit build 303). Furthermore, you're entitled to use ArtCAM Express 2015 R2.SP3 (64-bit build 860). Therefore, your first step should be to install ArtCAM Express 2015 R2.SP3 (64-bit build 860) on your computer using the instructions which I sent to your registered email address from artcam-onl...@autodesk.com on 12th December 2017.
