Whata wonderful story Charlie, of great Christmas memories. Have many myself. I hope you continue writing great fishing stories from along the SouthCoast that I read first, when my issue of OTW comes in every month. Merry Christmas and good health to you and your family.

Tears come as I also remember very lean christmas years past. nearly 80 years past.. we had a field of planted pine trees but always cut a 6-7 foot scrub tree, sometimes scrub pines but more often just a leafless weed tree. no one else did that and it was always unique. even found a couple scrap spray paint cans one year. WOW was that one ever different. Eyes are still welled up. Henry sounds like my grandfather.

I am proud and grateful of my brother inlaw Charlie Soars. He always looked after me when I was knee high to a grassv hopper. He married my sister Lola early in his life and they have been together ever since. He has a given talent for writing great stories, and has written many, along a few books for fishing history buffs and locals to enjoy. Charlie has also tought me how to respect the ocean and consevation runs deep in his blood. In my humble opinion we could use a lot more Charlie Soars on this planet. Thanks for being you my brother in law. How lucky I am.
