When I saw this contest I thought there is no way I could win this because I really don't have a typical success story. I am not overweight and I work out pretty consistently now for years. I am actually one of those people that actually likes to workout. Heck, I would probably be a spinning instructor if I wasn't such a chicken.
My story is this I am an outdoor person I love to be outside running, hiking, bike riding sometimes even doing yoga on my deck. But living in New Jersey has its challenging seasons like yup you guessed it, winter. I heard one of the SSOD instructors say that the weather in San Diego is boring I wish we had that problem.
I was doing some cardio by following various tapes that I had but I still felt like something was missing. So I bought a spinning bike it wasn't anything fancy but it worked. I tried watching videos on youtube at first but it was always the same classes with the same music. That's where I stumbled on SSOD I tried the free class with Cat and from then on I was hooked. SSOD saved my winter workouts of course I still had everything else I did but this was a replacement for the cardio I was missing out on by not running outside.

Standalone workout streaming services abound, from Apple Fitness+ to Ob Fitness. But a variety of exercise classes are available on the streaming services you may already subscribe to or use. The problem is that it can be a workout just to find them. We've done that part for you and put together this list of fitness routines you can find among your favorite shows and movies.
Last month, Netflix announced it would bring fitness classes to the platform for the first time. The first 30 hours of Nike Training Club classes dropped on Dec. 30, and a second batch is expected sometime this year. Peruse classes across several fitness programs, including Kickstart Fitness with the Basics, Two Weeks to a Stronger Core, Fall in Love with Vinyasa Yoga, and HIT & Strength with Tara. There are also collections of 10-, 20-, and 30-minute classes.
There are some very targeted yoga workouts on Amazon, in particular a series with Maggie Binkley that offers 15-minute sessions that are easy to fit into your day. There are also a couple of longer, class-style programs that give you something new for every day of the month.
For those looking for a workout that can carry them throughout the week, Maggie Binkley leads a 15-Minute Cardio Burn 5.0 Workout that doesn't require any equipment. The Full Body Every Day Workouts series is mostly equipment-free and offers variety throughout the week.
Kanopy is free with your public library card or university email. It uses a credit system; everybody gets 10 credits per month, and each thing you watch eats up one credit. As Kanopy notes, however, a number of selections have a 48- or 72-hour viewing period, during which you can watch something as many times as you want, so you could conceivably view these workouts more than 10 times in one month depending on how ambitious you get with your fitness routine.
Yoga can be adapted to any body and all of Kanopy's offerings emphasize this. Gentle Yoga for Parkinson's has modifications for many levels of movement and the Yoga for Health series addresses various medical conditions and issues.
The yoga classes on PBS go deep with certain poses. Yoga Basics With Patty, YNDI, and Yoga in Practice all have sessions that focus on specific poses. Comeback Yoga is for those with PTSD. And Breathe Yoga for Kids classes are filmed outdoors and bring a lighthearted touch to a calming practice.
Yoga classes are typically one hour, with plenty of time at the end to guide you to a feeling of mental well-being that matches the physical one. That includes Yoga for Emotional Well-Being With Erinda. Yoga for Arthritis, meanwhile, is designed specifically for people with hand arthritis.
My title is Senior Features Writer, which is a license to write about absolutely anything if I can connect it to technology (I can). I’ve been at PCMag since 2011 and have covered the surveillance state, vaccination cards, ghost guns, voting, ISIS, art, fashion, film, design, gender bias, and more. You might have seen me on TV talking about these topics or heard me on your commute home on the radio or a podcast. Or maybe you’ve just seen my Bernie meme.
I strive to explain topics that you might come across in the news but not fully understand, such as NFTs and meme stocks. I’ve had the pleasure of talking tech with Jeff Goldblum, Ang Lee, and other celebrities who have brought a different perspective to it. I put great care into writing gift guides and am always touched by the notes I get from people who’ve used them to choose presents that have been well-received. Though I love that I get to write about the tech industry every day, it’s touched by gender, racial, and socioeconomic inequality and I try to bring these topics to light.

Compared to VOD, live streaming requires a bit more technical know-how. With live streaming, you are recording video content in real time. During a live stream, you want to minimize the delay between when something happens in real time and when your viewers experience it through their screens.
You can achieve that with adaptive bitrate streaming, which instantly creates different versions of your content, allowing your end-viewer to watch the content in real-time with minimal buffering at the best resolution for their device and internet connection.
This is particularly helpful for those watching the content on smartphones while on the move. As their data speeds vary, the video quality will adapt to them. The upscaling or downscaling of the video will ensure that the stream keeps going without stopping for buffering.
On the back end, you will need to work with encoders to allow for the smooth delivery of your content to your viewers. Luckily, many online video platforms, such as Dacast, take care of this encoding for you.
VOD streaming allows you to perfect your content before releasing it. Live streaming is great for creating hype and channeling that is built up into views. While VOD is better for video content that follows a script. You can plan, record, edit, and fix your video before you release it. That allows you to create a polished and professional premium video experience for your viewers.
