FW: Seattle Milk Fund Back to school Backpacks

Hello all!

 

Please pass along to folks and families that you know who may need some assistance.  Organizations can collect applications from their patrons/clients and turn them into their local community center.

Seattle Parks and Recreation again partnering with Seattle Milk Fund to distribute free backpack to school age children again this summer.  This year they will have 850 backpacks and are including middle school youth. Please read the information and then I need your assistance in distributing this to all your contacts and any families you may know needing some assistance.

 

Seattle Parks is the only organization the Seattle Milk fund is working with on this project.  If another organization wishes to participate, they need to bring applications to their local center and they will turn these in via the center. Community Center staff will also pick up and help to distribute these backpacks to the organizations clients.

 

It is pretty simple; the family fills out the form, center staff signs the agency information and then faxes or emails the form to the Milk Fund office.  “Application Instructions:  Please provide all information requested on the form. Use one application for each family, return to you local community center and staff will Fax the application the Seattle Milk Fund.    Backpack requests will be filled in the order we receive them.  Since we have limited resources, it is possible that all orders will not be approved.  Applications will be accepted through August 15, 2010.
