Hi,

I need to restore an old RavenFs database on Raven 3.5
When I try to do it (via command line or web), I receive an error message:

Number of entries expected in End Of Central Directory does not correspond to number of entries in Central Directory.

Somebody can help me?

Thanks

What is the full error and stack trace of this error?

Unfortunately we don't have any stack trace.

We have a backup and also dump of our FileSystem so we tried some types of restore:

1) We started the import from powershell with smuggler:

.\Raven.Smuggler.exe in http://localhost:8080 S:\backup-TestFS-2020-03-17_0200.ravendump --filesystem=TestFS --disable-versioning-during-import

We received only the message "Number of entries expected in End Of Central Directory does not correspond to number of entries in Central Directory."

Even from the web interface (TestFS > Task > Import) we received the same message.

2) We started the restore with this command: .\Raven.Server.exe --restore-source="S:\backup-TestFS-2020-03-19_0200" --restore-filesystem-name=TestFS --restore-filesystem=http://localhost:8080 and we received this error

Started restore operation from S:\backup-TestFS-2020-03-19_0200 on http://localhost:8080/ server.
A critical error occurred while starting the server. Please see the exception details bellow for more details:
System.InvalidOperationException: Operation failed:

--- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown ---
   at System.Runtime.ExceptionServices.ExceptionDispatchInfo.Throw()
   at Raven.Abstractions.Util.AsyncHelpers.RunSync[T](Func`1 task)
   at Raven.Server.Program.RunRemoteFilesystemRestoreOperation(String backupLocation, String restoreLocation, String res
toreFilesystemName, Boolean defrag, Uri uri, Boolean waitForRestore, Nullable`1 timeout)
   at Raven.Server.Program.<>c__DisplayClass6_2.<InteractiveRun>b__61()
   at Raven.Server.Program.InteractiveRun(String[] args)
   at Raven.Server.Program.Main(String[] args)
Press any key to continue...

3) We started the restore from web interface (Manage your server > Restore > File System); restore was OK, but without versioning enabled (on our FileSystem versioning is enabled and we need it)

Is this a RavenFS dump file?
Can you send it to us?

We have a RavenFS dump and also a RavenFS backup

We can send both but please be careful because they contains sensitive documents

Can we send a link to sup...@ravendb.net ?

I didn't have a chance to look at the files you sent. Although based on the error you get I suspect RavenFS dump file is somehow corrupted. It's a gzipped archive basically. What happens if you try to unzip it (using 7-Zip or any similar tool)? What is the size of the file?
