We are starting the evaluate a bug tracking tool (YouTrack) for RavenDB (and our other products as well).

Using a bug tracker like this will:
  1. Let you to report a bug and get notified by email as this fixed.
  2. Let you ask for a missing feature, or vote up an existing one.
  3. Let us provide you with a fixed bugs/implemented features list for each build of RavenDB.
  4. Give you a good way to search for an issue, and see if this got fixed already.
  5. Give us the ability to mark an issue as a duplicate, or fixed in build #X.
And in nutshell, we are hoping that this will let us make RavenDB even better.

So please, if you have any issue, report it to: http://issues.hibernatingrhinos.com.
After a short registration, you'll be able to open a new issue ticket.
Please select the RavenDB project, and enter a summery and description for your issue.
Than, you can tag your issue as a bug | exception | feature | performance issue | etc...
Specify the subsystem of the issue, and the affected build number.

And this is it. The nice thing about it is that you'll get a detailed email for every update on this ticket.

We hope that this will make it easier for you and us to make RavenDB better!

P.S. In the next post I'm going to ask you for a feedback: how to do an effectively error reporting for a live db.
