Normal Index creation speed

I am hosted on RavenHQ

When I create a new index I cant get any results out of it for several minutes. There are less than 200 records I am indexing. Is this speed typical or just because I am shared on RavenHQ Gold?

When I do a query that does not have an index I get no results. After serveral minutes I will get results ( I assume the temp index is being created) Is this normal? After a day or so of not using an index (permanent or temporary) I run a query on it and get no results back wait several minutes and then the results start coming in. Is this normal or just an issue with shared RavenHQ? I really like RavenDB but cant tolerate not getting any results back. How should it work?

I ran a production app on RavenHQ standard silver for the past year with the web app on AppHarbor. I noticed what I would call occasionally sluggish behavior, but I couldn't be sure if it was AH or RHQ. In either event, it wasn't bad enough for me to worry about. I tend to bend my designs so that I Load far more than I Query, but I never noticed any "several minute" lags. 

For 200 docs, I wouldn't expect any significant delay.  As a general piece of advice, I would create static indexes rather than relying on auto indexes. Auto indexes will "go away" if they are not used.

Are your docs huge or are your indexes very complicated? I would open a support ticket with RHQ on this matter for them to investigate. Their response times were very good in my experience. Also, RHQ support and the RavenDB forums are not the same, but, obviously, you can often find some help for RHQ here.

Thanks, I will contact RavenHQ now that I know what I am experiencing is not typical. Even static indexes if un-queried for a few days return no results for several minutes. Its like my database goes to sleep then I have to wait for it to wake up.
