The text conversion that GH does is used to represent the object in a human-understandable way, not to define the state of the object in string type, so you are not getting the state of the object in text but a representation. Even for simple types like point or vector that GH can create them from text you lose some information in decimals since the conversion to string is designed to be a human-friendly representation so its may ignore some decimals.

You can also create new content by typing directly into the Visual Editor box. It works just like any text editor. You have full control over fonts, font size, and font colors, as well as the ability to create lists, tables, and insert images.

Is there a way to convert text into shapes? I've got some text in a symbol file that I'd rather not rely on the design file having the proper dimensions assigned to the text in order for it to show up properly. Seems to me, converting the text into shapes should solve that problem, but I can't find any way to do that.

Hi. That's an awful stretch to exercise just to get the text suitable. What I've seen other companies do in the past is get all the text on you want, and create a .pdf of it and place the .pdf files in a central location. That way when someone wants to see the 'pretty' picture of the dimensional information they can call up the .pdf picture. :) Me, personally, get it in as quickly as possible and... move on. Time to market overrules any 'pretty' details. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply, but that's not really what I'm after. Plus, no librarian. Here's more context. I am creating a silkscreen logo that I imported with LogoMaker. Obviously, it all imports as 'shapes', including the 'text'. The graphics portion of the logo looks just fine, however the text portion that imported as shapes doesn't look very good. Thus, I replaced the text shapes with real text. It looks much more crisp now, but will rely on the text settings of each design file being correct. I'd rather convert the real text to shapes so that the whole logo is composed of shapes only, then there shouldn't be any issues. I was thinking of a feature like the 'shapes->lines' or 'lines->shapes' feature, but for 'text->shapes'.

This will definitely save a lot of time and effort compared to manually formatting text to make it bold. Overall, this is a great tool for anyone looking to add some emphasis to their text. I will definitely be bookmarking it for future use. Also check this article fontbots.com/extra-thicc-text-generator/

From my quick web interrogation, I suggested tesseract because it is available on several platforms. There is a Mac port. Additionally, you can select the text language as it seems there are add-ons to improve text recognition when language is known.
