If you are a rattle user (or want to be) and you have an interest in coding and learning a modern language platform (Flutter), and would like to contribute to the next generation of Rattle (based on R and Python), then please contact me at Graham....@anu.edu.au.

Details:

With the demise of RGtk2 and the effort I've spent with work-arounds over the past couple of years, and that Rattle is now over 15 years old, it's time to renew the user interface.

The Rattle GUI is undergoing a rebuild using modern cross platform technology (Flutter/Dart) for the user interface. I plan to retain the flavour of the current GUI so that readers of the Rattle book (https://bit.ly/rattle_data_mining) will find a familiar, though not identical, platform.

Noting that R remains a powerful tool for the Data Scientist and now Python has become the tool of choice for its many modern machine learning capabilities, the backend is being re-designed in line with the concept of scripted templates that I introduced in my Essentials book (http://bit.ly/essentials_data_science).

If you would like to learn and to contribute to this new effort, please contact me.
