Since it was quite pleasant there last time, we are planning to meet again at the north-east corner of the Museum kert for our monthly meetup. If there is too much rain for an outdoor event, we'll use the California Coffee co across the street from the south side of the museum gardens as our backup location.

For the readings for this event Milan had two suggestions, one is to watch a recent video done by rational animations and voiced by Robert Miles of Scott's old post 'The Goddess of Everything Else' https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/JYop2jAsbabADLCkm/the-goddess-of-everything-else-the-animation.

The other is to read this recent ACX post about possible compute centric takeoff scenarios and discuss it. Milan would especially appreciate it if you all wrote long posts responding to AI risk skeptical people in the comments.

I look forward to seeing you all, and everyone have a great summer!!!

The second link seems to be missing, so here it is: https://astralcodexten.substack.com/p/tales-of-takeover-in-ccf-world

Even though the title says "June 30", our local LessWrong time machine is not complete yet, so we have to settle for July 30.

BTW I think that the California Coffee shop which was proposed as backup location closed recently, so we might want to use perhaps the nearby Altair or Sirius teahouses as backup.

I made a calendar event, if y'all work with gcal and want to add it to your calendar you can do so by clicking here.

Altair has a note of temporarily closed  on Gmaps. Perhaps a summer holiday closure that will end before Jul 30.

Since Altair is closed, temporarily we hope, and rain is scheduled this afternoon, I'm going to move the meetup to my apartment.

We'll order pizza at some point during the meeting.

If you are reading this when you finally check your phone because you are confused why the rest of us aren't at museum kért, it is just a fifteen minutes walk down Üllői or quick metro ride from Kálvin to my apartment.
