Hey everyone!
We are planning another meetup on the 21st of March at my place.
Address:
66/b/1 Üllői út
Ring 27
floor #6, door #3
Here's the suggested reading for the week:
https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/TkBCR8XRGw7qmao6z/schelling-goodness-and-shared-morality-as-a-goal
And here is Milan's explanation of why he wants is to talk about it: This essay is quite ambitious, it takes a very small real step in carefully asking and starting to answer the question of what kind of ethics cosmic civilisations might end up following. Almost as if: "Moral realism, but actually real?" What kind of cosmic neighbourhood might we find ourselves in, what can we deduce even a priori? (Not quite debated in the text but very interesting relatedly: will grabby aliens just grab all?)
I hope to see you all there!
We intend to have the meetup on the third Saturday of every month going forward. The events will be updated beforehand with topic (and in some cases with timing and location should they change).
