A thingy Scott noted in his recent Solstice advertisement is that it's hard to tell which Solstices are rationalist-affiiliated.

I've been unsure how to handle that. In particular, Seattle (which is obviously rationalist affiliated) identifies as EA rather than rationalist. And the rationalist-esque ones also vary a bit on what they're like.

Since there isn't actually a central organization running them the way there is for Sunday Assembly Solstices it's hard to describe them a particular way.

The best I can come up with is "Rationalsphere", but there's additional weird issues where making it legible who you're trying to attract can cause problems since it may tell other potential attendees They Are Not The Target.

Sounds like a branding issue. Is there a legible way to distinguish this flavor of solstice from other events on the same date?

The trick with branding is that it would be bad to restrict future change in the movement/goals, especially for a tentpole community event, so you can't have it bake in too much specificity.

I've suggested "Secular Solstice: Brighter Night" in the past. I don't claim it stands out much but it's a possible point of distinction.

I've been thinking for a while that this set of traditions we're building would benefit from a name.  Alas, I haven't thought of a good one.
