to RateBeer API
I'd like to request an API key so that I can work to integrate RateBeer's ratings with an online menu of beers available for a local bar. Thanks!

If we believe, we may be blessed with API keys one day.

at this point, even an official "hey, we're not going to give out keys any more" would be  something. I call it "managing your expectations" :).

The sad part is that I and others I'm sure are building apps that would only enhance their brand.

My guess is the api doesn't actually work(yet) but that's a pure guess. I know how it goes as a developer.

Now that I look though, I notice the site has changed and any mention of an API is gone.

Someone should contact them via the site and just ask if they even are involved with this list/api/etc....

Oh it works, and it works quite well ... Just very hard to get the ear of the site maintainers...

Ok Justing here's what I need for you to do. I need for you to wrap your calls in another library then issue keys to us then pass on through to them using your key which we won't know.  :)

Seriously though...I think they don't want to issue keys...not just a matter of not getting their ear. I say this because it used to mention the api on the site, and no more.

Absolutely!  I'll deploy on AWS and meter you at $5 a call, sound fair?  :D
