When I created my IDV account, I used facebook to log in. I haven't played IDV in a while so it logged me out. I tried logging in using my FB info and it told me "Can't Load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and subdomains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings"
Okay, so I'll just log in via browser. Did the same thing and it said log in successful, and the site told me to press the yellow button and go back to the game. After pressing the button, the site takes me to one of those Google error pages, and when I go back to the IDV app, nothing happens... no "successful login", no redirecting. It's just the login page again.
Anyone here experiencing this, can you please create a new test profile (make sure your original profile window is closed) and login to Facebook using that profile, then close and reopen the browser and tell me if you stay logged in there?
Testing in a clean Brave Beta profile, logged into Facebook. Then quit, relaunched Brave Beta and was still logged in. Have noticed Facebook is checking vpn locations, using a vpn may affect FB logins
I've been getting "We've noticed a login from a browser, device or location you don't usually use. We need to confirm that it was you before you can get back on Facebook" - on devices that I've used at home for years - I've also recently logged into a work computer in a different region and also bought a new laptop, so not sure if it's something to do with that?
I have to click the "Approve your login on another computer" one to continue, but nothing is coming up on any devices as I've been logged out. Everytime I try to log into another device (that's recognised), it starts the same process all over again.
After hours I can't figure out why it won't log me in on the PC Oculus/Meta app. It's the latest version and gives me the 4 options of "login with facebook" "login with Instagram" "login with E-mail" and "login with Oculus".
I'm wanting to do it via facebook as I had done before when I got my Quest 2 back in January 2021. However when I get redirected out into my browser and I type in all my information then select "continue as (my name)" it loads for a second then 4 minutes later in the Oculus/Meta PC App it says. "An issue has occurred. Please try again later."
Even plugged in my Quest 2 and started the oculus link to have the headset open the PC app and also couldn't do it that way when the pop up in the headset says "it appears your not logged in please take off headset and login" or something like that. Still no luck
There are no error messages (for me at least). It just seems to be waiting for some sort of auth to come from meta.com or facebook.com through my 'default web browser'. I've also seen the recommendation that people install the app on their phone and try again. That worked fine - it passed the login auth request to auth.meta.com and it logged in but still no go on the PC (I've tried with and without the phone plugged into the PC in the hopes it would do something). I'll ping you through the community support thing now but it could be helpful to have the solution documented somewhere people could search for it.
I'm currently running kubuntu and i decided to install spotify, i have run spotify on ubuntu and kubuntu several times on different operating systems. When i tried to log in this time, I go to press the "log in with facebook" button and absolutely nothing happens. the same thing occurs when i press the "Reset Password" button. I can see the text on the Log in with facebook button get darker as i click it so i know that its not a problem with not being able to click it.
If this is not your problem or it is, but the workaround doesn't help, go to and login and check if you have an e-mail address on your account and try to create a password. Then you can probably login with your e-mail address and the password.
i have not only this bug
but also my facebook connected account also lost its email adress so i cant log in to it anymore (at least on desktop)
in browser it works because of the facebook button
but the account still shows up without an email adress any idea how i could solve this problem?
If you have two-factor authentication set up on Facebook, you will receive a confirmation code to your phone or email when there is a login attempt on your account. If you did not recently try to log in, you can assume it was someone else.
You can also turn on login alerts by going to Settings > Account Center > Passwords and Security > Security Checkup > Turn on Login alerts on Facebook desktop. You can choose whether you want to receive a notification on Facebook or via email.
Everything has been going well until about a month ago. Suddenly, they are unable to login on their computer, (Have tried Chrome, Firefox, and Edge), but they can still login and use the app on their iPhone.
To login to your Meta Quest 2, you now need to set up a Meta account. And yes, that does sound like they've replaced one mandatory login with another, but this Meta account doesn't require you to connect any social media account in order to use it. In fact, you don't need to own any social media accounts whatsoever, as you can set up a Meta account with only an email address.
Otherwise, if you're starting a new account for the first time, you should now see the new login process pop up first thing when you sync your device with the Oculus app. In the app, you should be able to choose to use either Instagram, Facebook, or an email address to create your new Meta account.
Though the shift to Meta accounts does come a little too late for any bargain hunters. Meta only recently increased the price for all of its Quest 2 models by $100, meaning the headset isn't as wildly cheap as it once was. It's still a good buy, however, as you're looking to spend a whole lot more for something like a Valve Index. More so now that the mandatory login has been removed. I know at least a handful of people that refused to buy a Quest while it was still in place, but I wonder if the ship has sailed for that lot now, anyways.
On a computer: Click your profile picture in the top right of the Facebook home page > Settings & privacy > Settings > Privacy > Do you want search engines outside of Facebook to link to your profile? > Edit > Click the check box on the bottom > Turn Off.
The first step is to delete the app from your smartphone or tablet. Remember that deleting the Facebook app doesn't delete your account -- you can still access it from the browser and other apps might still use Facebook as a login.
Do you need to find your Facebook username and don't know where to look? Your Facebook username is the customizable part of your profile URL, which you can easily locate in your settings. Your username is different from your user ID on Facebook, which is a unique string of numbers used only by the apps and games you've connected to Facebook. This wikiHow will show you how to find your user ID and username on Facebook using a web browser on your computer, and using the Facebook mobile app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.
Deleting a Facebook account on a computer is essentially the same as deactivating a Facebook account on a computer. The only difference is the final step, where you select to permanently delete your Facebook account instead of temporarily deactivating it.
Yes, after you deactivate your Facebook account, simply log back in to reactive Facebook. You can also reactivate Facebook after deactivation by using your Facebook login to access another website. Deleted accounts can be recovered too, but only for 30 days after deletion.
You can choose to save login info on the browsers and devices of your choosing. Go to Menu > Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security & Login. Select Edit next to Save Your Login Info.
Go to Menu > Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security and login. Under the Where You're Logged In section, you should see a list of devices that are logged into your Facebook account.
Since two of the methods above depend on a mobile device, make sure you have at least one other method to log back into Facebook, in case you lose that device. As a backup, you could also set up "recognized devices" which don't require a login code.
From the screen asking you for the login code, select Need another way to authenticate? (bottom left), then click Text me a login code, and wait for the text to come in. You can also let Facebook call you.
Whenever you successfully log into Facebook from a new device, application, or browser, Facebook asks you whether you would like to remember it. You won't need a login code the next time you want to access Facebook from that authorized device and location.
Try to access Facebook from a browser or app you've used previously. Maybe you're still logged in on an old laptop, your work computer, or your tablet. When you find a device where you can still access Facebook, you should see a notification asking you to approve the new login.
You can also access the above recovery route through any browser, on desktop or mobile. Go to m.facebook.com and log into your account using your mobile number, email, or username and password. When prompted for the login code, click Having trouble? > I don't have my phone > Continue.
And in the future, always make sure at least one device, other than your laptop or phone, has an authorized login. It could be a home computer that you'll always have access to. Only ever let Facebook remember devices and locations that are private and safe. And frequently review your list of Authorized Logins and Remove outdated items.
To delete your account, visit the Account ownership and control page in your Meta Accounts Center on your computer (if you aren't seeing the Meta Accounts Center, go to facebook.com/deactivate_delete_account), select "Delete Account," select the "Continue" button, and follow the prompts.
