I have a komet trailer that may need parts in the future. Where are people finding parts in the US? More specifically, a hub wheel bolts, bearings, and bearing seals. This would be for a single axle trailer from the late 80's.

I would think that you could all of those bearing and seal parts from a bearing house, and the bolts from a wheel place.
Nice to have the numbers and parts before you take it apart, but after the first disassembly, you will....

Sorry for the generic answer.....

From a previous thread here:

If that isn't sufficient, I've had good luck sourcing parts for older Euro trailers - Komet, Cobra - from https://www.tauntontrailers.co.uk/ . Very quick.

Bearings and seals will have a PN on them, edge of bearing, usually face of seal. These can be crossed to generic parts. Wheel bolts (or studs) can usually be matched at a decent auto parts or trailer place. Yesw, this may mean disassemble, get numbers, get parts, assemble. Not likely all in 1 day.

I have dealt with https://www.etrailer.com
They have most of the parts I needed for my trailer. Service was outstanding, and delivery was quick.
I ordered online and the parts were delivered within 3 days. They have almost any part you might need.

Thank you,

I'm with Cliff.  I ended up changing the whole axle.

When you change axles, do you disable the surge brake damper? Do you run with no brakes, or do you change to electric brakes?

I just deleted it as the guy we were doing it for had a Dually and cab over camper he hauled with. When I did my homemade trailer 35 years ago I got the axle with electric brakes  but never used them as my Car at the time didn't have the  controller in it.

I kind of think the Alco brakes are genius. They are surge brakes that only work in the forward direction. So when you back up, they don't apply.
Genius.
