FLARM Fusion Not Broadcasting Wifi Network (SSID)?

I'm working on a friend's glider and cannot get connected wirelessly with the FlarmHub app and Wifi to the FLARMFusion.   I know the SSID I'm looking for and it is not showing.  I also know it hasn't been changed from the factory settings.   I've tried with an Android phone and a Window's laptop, and no dice.   The device is powered on in my shop (so no GPS signal) and it is showing one green light for power.   I can communicate on the USB port and the recent log files show that it is otherwise working.     Firmware is version 7.40 which is the first version that doesn't require the annual update.

Anyone dealt with this before?

Hi,

This is a new problem.  I had the same issue recently.  I asked FLARM what to use for the SSID and they said to use the connect manually in my phone's Wi-Fi connection screen, and to use the entire model number and serial number combination - like "FLAFLX10W-001149" as the SSID.

But, whatever the SSID is, shouldn't it show up in the list of available networks, as shown on the phone or laptop?

Thanks Paul,

Did that and nothing.    Tried the hard reset with the pin pushing the button and also nothing.

It "should" but it doesn't.  So I tried to manually "add network" in case it's not broadcasting its ID,  but that also isn't working.  I'm stymied.

Hi Erik,

Try using the FlarmHub app, click the “+ Add” button, then select the “Connect manually” button.

Thanks Paul - tried that as well.    The App also doesn't "see" the Flarm and I get the error message "connection unsuccessful" trying to manually add the network via FLARM.   On the plus side,  I did connect to the Samsung Refrigerator in the shop :-)
