Does part 3.1.8 (28% rule for triangle leg) of sporting code apply to record attempts only? Or does it also apply to badges (chapter 2)?

Badge triangle requirements for diamond and below are more lax than the fai triangle rules. Triangles for the diamond goal has no minimum leg distance. Diplomas however do need to use the fai triangle formula.

I misspoke. The triangle geometry requirments are only for speed records. Badge tasks are distance tasks and hence dont have the restriction.
