Excellent! I wonder how many were following RAS? Nothing is making it past eternal_september, so I'm not even aware of any spam on it. I do miss Dan M, and hope he'll decide using RAS_Prime is still better than no RAS.

Hello John,
Just in time to help with an electronics problem.  Pilot in my club needs to replace a TNC connector for his transponder on an ASW 29 motorglider.  The transponder has been checked by Trig and is doing 300 watts but very litttle shows when an external signal check is done.  Hoping that the embedded coax to the antenna in the vertical stab is ok, guessing the only thing to try now is replace the connector.   The coax says Aircell 7 on the cover.  Not familiar with this as factory installed from Schleicher.  What about the merits of solder on vs. crimp at this frequency?  It may be a moot point if we can't find a crimp connector or a tool.  Hope you or JJ and others will know something helpful here. Thanks in advance.

Tom,

I am starting a new thread on this topic.  You will get more replies that way.

One of my "rules" (really hints) for RAS_Prime is to stay on topic within a thread instead of talking about tangential topics, or totally different topics, than the original subject.

Thanks, John (OHM)
