Flarm BD8 Antenna experience

Does anyone have experience with the Dolba BD8 antenna that mounts inside the canopy like a sticker?

I’m using an LX Powermouse, which only has an antenna connector, together with a SuperFAnt antenna. When I run a range test, the performance is slightly below the minimum requirement. During team flights, it becomes difficult once we get some distance—after about 4–6 km, the contact is no longer visible.

I’ve heard good things about the BD8 antenna, which sticks inside the canopy like a decal. My understanding is that Yagi antennas are usually more directional, so I’m curious how well this one works if it’s used as the only antenna—without an external stick or FAnt antenna.
