SpotX plan information

I am upgrading my glider and one item is the Spot X safety/rescue device. I am registering the device and have come across the subscription choices. Basic, Advanced, and Unlimited.

They all have the basic features, but each one has an additional feature. The basic does not show movment. The advanced shows movment but tracks at 5 minute intervals. The unlimited has advanced features and tracks at 2.5 minute intervals. Which plan would you recommed?

Basic- 143.00 / year

Advanced 239.00/ year

Unlimited 359.00/ year

I am leaning towards the advanced plan as it has all the features of unlimited, with a 5 minute tracking vs 2.5 minute tracking.

You can cover a lot of ground in 5 minutes at 60+kts. I chose the 2.5min tracking. A 2.5 mile radius search could find you a lot faster than 5nm. But do you have FLARM or an iPhone onboard too?

I have had the advanced for 4 years now. I feel that's OK since there is a good likelihood I will be awake if something happens. Then I can hit the emergency button for an exact location.
