We've got a group of cross-country pilots heading to Tehachapi this summer for six days of flying the Owens Valley, the Tehachapi ridge, and some of the best thermal soaring in the western US. Skylark North has three Pawnees on the line and there's no entry fee.

Dates:
  Arrival & Assembly: Tuesday, July 28
  Flying: July 29 – August 3

Daily morning pilots meetings with weather briefings, safety topics, and suggested XC tasks. Group dinners in town. Orientation flights available with Skylark instructors if you haven't flown the area before.

If you've ever looked at the WeGlide traces out of Mountain Valley and thought "I need to fly there" — this is your chance. Lone Pine and back is a routine summer day. On a good day, much more than that.

Bring your own glider, 15 ships max, and we still have room. Free trailer parking and tie-downs. RV park and tent camping right on the field, plus hotels in town three miles away.
