Meeting Synopsis: TurnpointManager (https://turnpointmanager.com) is a new modern, community-driven platform for managing soaring turnpoints that replaces the fragmented CUP file ecosystem with a single, always-current source of truth. It lets pilots explore turnpoints on an interactive map, filter by geography, runway and glider requirements, research sites with real-world notes and photos, and export data to any glide computer. Because updates happen in real time and are shared across the community, pilots benefit from collective knowledge instead of stale files, while contest organizers get consistent, versioned turnpoints everyone can trust. The result is safer planning, less guesswork, easier collaboration, and far less time spent managing waypoint files.

Speaker: Davis Chappins
Biography: Davis has been flying sailplanes for about 10 years. Before that he flew hang gliders. He has a degree in aerospace and works for an aviation company. I proposed and executed the OGN rollout a few years ago shipping 120 OGN stations around the US. Next Davis working for several years to solve a soaring cross country logistical problem which is the heart of his presentation.
